We believe in the wonder of childhood. We teach our children to See, Touch, Feel, Think and Act because we believe that "Experience Cannot be Taught". Early childhood is where you build the foundations for your life.
Our thoughtfully designed program for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 15 months to 5 years) nurtures the whole child—cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally. We offer a dynamic blend of academics and creative exploration through hands-on learning, active play, and compassionate guidance.

The classroom is divided into interest areas: blocks, cars and trucks, dramatic play, dress-up, baby dolls, sensory, manipulative, puzzles, books and the mini loft.
Large group circle time is where the children are introduced to many skills, including the alphabet, colors, numbers, music and read-aloud. At this stage, teachers begin to expose the children to potty training.
When it comes to potty training, children go into the restroom, and some sit on the potty, even if it is with their clothes on. Teachers are looking for readiness skills. Readiness skills include being dry for long periods of time and the ability of children to communicate (even nonverbally) that they are ready to go. Also, students begin tooth brushing in this classroom.

This program focuses on all-around development by offering opportunities for overall development using songs and finger play activities, language and early literacy activities, number and logical thinking activities, science and nature related activities, sensory discrimination exercises and physical development activities.
The Explorer Classroom is often referred to as “potty central.” This classroom works very hard on working with each child on potty training. The work done in this classroom suits the two-year old children’s needs while also being adaptable to every child’s developmental age and abilities.

At Prep 1: Most children begin their pre-reading in this classroom. Students who display readiness, are also introduced to addition. The bathroom is always open for children to use it as needed; it is part of the self-reliance that the children have attained in this classroom. To expose the children to age appropriate technology, a Smart Board is introduced for developmentally appropriate, interactive activities which are aligned with lesson plans.
At Prep 2: This is the first class where the children use the computer, utilizing child-friendly software that allows for practice and review in phonics, mathematics and reading. At this age, the children know their colors and alphabet and learn each letter's sound. Centers are divided into more restrictive areas: puzzles and manipulatives are together, dramatic play is all together, and the water table is more advanced than in earlier classrooms. The children become more independent in this class as they learn to put away their coats, hang up their blue bags, tie shoes, and fasten coats. The Prep-K2 students are potty-trained (or close to being potty-trained) and can independently use the restroom (with the door open) as necessary and ask for assistance if needed. Potty-trained students begin their extracurricular activities where outside vendors come in to teach dance (for girls), golf (for boys), playball and art.

In our Kindergarten, children grow socially and emotionally. Their ability to think, use and recognize language and their fine and gross motor skills will be developed through play, art, dance, music, movement and interacting with others.
Most importantly, all children will learn to become effective learners as they develop and extend their communication skills, build their self-confidence, learn to be creative, and develop skills that assist them with reading, writing (manuscript and cursive), mathematics, science and social studies. We recognize the benefits of play based learning where children learn to communicate their thoughts, feelings and needs to others, lengthen their attention span and develop their creativity.

Our staff not only provide children with a solid foundation in literacy, scientific-mathematical thinking, and soci-emotional development, but seek to promote learning through emphasis on the joys of discovery and the empowerment of choice.

With the first years of a child’s life being critical to shaping a child’s future, health and development, we acknowledge that the changes we make to improve our children’s environment can have a profound impact on their small bodies.
